SGM Announced: Friday 1st August 2025
The Special General Meeting (SGM) date is confirmed, and will be held this Friday 1st August 2025 @ 2pm. It will be held online via Discord, and elections will be conducted using Rubric.
The SGM will establish the Swinux (Linux Hardware & Code Club) committee for Semester 2 of 2025, giving the club the mandate to continue operations into 2026. Nominations for positions within the committee have closed. Elections will be held for the Vice President and Treasurer, with each candidate given time to give a statement before voting commences.
In order to vote, you must associate your student account with Rubric. This allows you to obtain a membership (free for Swinburne students) and ticket to attend the SGM, which is a requirement for voting. The committee encourages all who are interested in the club to attend and vote.
The club has exciting things in the planning stage for Semester 2 2025 and beyond. By voting, you help to enable the club to create an environment for you, where your passions for everything Linux, Software and Hardware can be shared in a common space with like minds.
